A fresh video from the upcoming pan‑India project “Slumdog 33 Temple Road” shifts attention from the film’s mass‑appeal visuals to Tabu’s commanding presence. The clip introduces her as Gauri Hegde, an Income Tax Deputy Commissioner who exudes confidence and authority.
In the footage, Hegde confronts criminals without hesitation, delivering lines that underscore her willingness to make hard decisions. Tabu’s screen demeanor reinforces the character’s reputation as a fearless officer, adding a layer of intensity that has quickly become a focal point of discussion among fans.
Director Puri Jagannadh’s vision for the film blends action, emotion, humour and mass elements, a blend first hinted at in an earlier teaser that showcased Vijay Sethupathi in an unprecedented, stylish avatar with high‑octane sequences. Reports indicate that the narrative unfolds against the backdrop of slum communities, exploring the residents’ struggles and aspirations.
Alongside Vijay Sethupathi, who leads the cast, the ensemble includes Samyuktha as the female lead, as well as Vijay Kumar, Zarina Wahab, Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh. A Kannada actor is also slated to appear in a negative role. Music duties are being handled by an unnamed composer, while Sam K Naidu serves as cinematographer and Santosh Nuzivalli as editor.
Currently in post‑production, “Slumdog 33 Temple Road” is slated for a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. With Vijay Sethupathi’s broad appeal and Tabu’s powerful new avatar, anticipation for the film is building across multiple regional industries.
